“Flying Kites on the Freeway” is a cross-cutting Electronic Music adventure. Ambient electronica, synth improvisations, balearic chillout, heavy cyber-electronic, kraut rock, avant-garde - this music is all and nothing about it.
Conceptual driven, the album is organized through a patchwork of sounds and colours, incidents, envelopes, transients, clusters, floating melodies, loose rhythmics, cemented by structures and layers crossmixed as suite parts.
Singer Cláudia Efe and guitarrist Vítor Rua are the guest musicians. Cláudia did her own live voice processing on real time imporovised lyrics. Vítor took the album to a higher level with his electric guitar signature and amazing solos.
Unexpectedly a marching band is also featured in the album. Recorded open-air in Paraty, Brasil, by António Duarte, this incredible band made is part on the exotic outcome.
“Flying Kites on the Freeway” sounds like an immersive trip to unknown territories and imaginary landscapes.
